Prior to arrival, please ensure you’ve read the information below regarding the terms of use for the parking permit.
Included During Your Stay
To help you settle in comfortably, we provide a selection of essentials for guests:
Bedroom & Bathroom
• Fresh bed linen and towels for each guest
Log Burner
• A starter set of kindling, logs and firelighters
• Additional firewood can be purchased locally from Booths or the Lunesdale Home and Gardens shop on Main Street
Kitchen Essentials
• Tea, coffee, milk and sugar
• Dishwasher tablets
• Washing-up liquid
• Kitchen towels and dishcloths
General Supplies
• Hand soap
• Bin bags
• A starter supply of toilet rolls
Wifi
• Free WiFi is available throughout the cottage.
When you arrive, please also take a look at the welcome folder on the hallway table. This contains useful information about the cottage and local recommendations to help you make the most of your stay.
Parking Permit – Important Info For Guests
The Mustard Pot doesn’t have its own private parking, but we provide a guest parking permit which allows you to park in the main council car parks in Kirkby Lonsdale.
The permit can be used in the following car parks:
• Market Square
• New Road No.1
• New Road No.2
Please read the following information below to ensure the permit is used correctly:
• The permit must be clearly displayed inside the vehicle, on your dashboard.
• The permit cannot be used in Booths supermarket car park.
• The permit cannot be used to park for a longer duration in any of the “1 hour parking – no return” spaces around the town.
• The permit cannot be used in the bays around the perimeter of Market Square, as these are also one-hour parking spaces.
• The permit cannot be used when parking in the electric vehicle charging bays at New Road No.2
Market Square Car Park – Thursday Market Day
Market Square hosts the local market every Thursday between 6am–6pm.
Vehicles must not be parked in Market Square during these hours or a parking fine will be issued.
Occasionally seasonal markets or events also take place here, so please always check signage before parking.
Bringing More Than One Vehicle?
If you have a second vehicle, you can purchase a 3-day or 7-day parking pass from the pay-and-display machines at:
• New Road No.1
• New Road No.2
These passes can only be used in the New Road no.1 and 2 car parks, not Market Square.
The passes can’t be used when parking in the electric vehicle charging bays.
Motorcycles
Motorcycles can park free of charge in the three car parks listed above, without the need for the permit.
You may park in any standard space with consideration for other vehicles. There are also two dedicated motorcycle bays in Market Square.
Important Notes About The Permit
• The permit does not guarantee a parking space in any car park.
• Please always check car park signage and notice boards before leaving your vehicle.
• The permit must only be used in the Kirkby Lonsdale car parks listed above, and not in the surrounding towns or villages.
• The owners of The Mustard Pot cannot accept responsibility for any parking fines issued if the permit is used incorrectly.
Before You Leave
Please remember to leave the parking permit on the hallway table when you check out, ready for the next guests.
If the permit is lost during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible. Guests are responsible for covering the cost of a replacement issued by the council.
